The people behind Schutz-Guenstiger

Schutz-Guenstiger comes from the same team as strom-guenstiger.de and gas-guenstiger.de — founded by Tim Jungeblut while he was still at school doing his Abitur, and now run together with his co-founder Max.

Tim Jungeblut — Founder

I founded the comparison portals strom-guenstiger.de and gas-guenstiger.de while I was still doing my Abitur. My motivation is to help people cut their running costs without any fuss. With insurance, the task is different from energy: it is not about getting the same product more cheaply, but about first working out what actually needs to be covered.

Max Jungeblut — Co-founder and Head of Sales

As co-founder, I helped build strom-guenstiger.de and gas-guenstiger.de from the very beginning. Today my focus is on sales and on working with our partners.

Our editorial guideline

Not everything that can be insured needs to be insured. That is why we sort by potential financial severity: legal obligations and liability that could ruin you first, major assets next, cover for minor damage last. What we do not do: name test winners, rank providers or give individual insurance advice. What we make room for instead are your rights under the Versicherungsvertragsgesetz (German Insurance Contract Act) — deadlines and entitlements that never appear in a premium comparison but still decide whether your cover holds up in the end.

Thinkstars GmbH operates several comparison services, each on a separate topic. What they share is transparency, data-minimising technology, tools you can follow and needs before signing up. In every case, the market comparison is supplied by our cooperation partner Verivox. Our guidance before it is produced separately and is not ordered by commission level.
